Mr. Zhang, fifty-seven years old, had had a poor appetite and felt his stomach suffocated for nearly a month. On June 11, he went to the Central hospital in Jinan for gastroscopy examination. After had understood his detail symptoms, Ms. Zhou Linzhen, the director of special inspection department advised him to wear the remote cardiac monitoring device, also called iHolter. After wore the device, Mr. Zhang left the hospital at eight forty, and intended to take the bus to go to work. Nearly more than ten minutes later, the monitoring system of our hospital began warning and the remote monitoring device of Mr. Zhang showed serious roach back elevation of ST segment. This was ultra early myocardial infarction with serious ischemia. The situation was very unfavorable for patients. Because the situation in clinic could easily led to myocardial infarction of large area at any time, or the patient might die from sudden cardiac death on the way. Ms. Zhou immediately called the patient and requested him to return to hospital. During the waiting time, the situation such as roach back elevation of ST-segment and myocardial ischemia happened four times, one of them was occurrence of paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia. It was very tense. As the patient came back to hospital, physicians immediately contacted with clinical department, opened the “green” access, and performed coronary heart examination for patients. The coronary heart examination showed mid left anterior descending coronary artery stenosis, nearly ninety nine percent stenosis, and blood flow in coronary artery was very flow. The doctor on duty gave him prompt intervention, implanted stent and got through the coronary artery. The patient got saved timely. In this typical case, the patient was favorably discharged from hospital in nine days after implantation of stent.

Remote cardiac monitoring system consists of monitoring center in hospital and iHolter of Yocaly. The system has functions of continuous monitoring for 72h, two-way data transmission without limitation of time and locations, and USB playback. iHolter could record the whole electrocardia actions occurring during patients wear iHolter. As soon as iHolter shows abnormal ECG, the abnormal information could be transmitted to the monitoring center in hospital by mobile network. Then, the physicians on duty make diagnosis and analysis based on the abnormal ECG. If patients have a very serious situation, the physicians would call the patients or their relatives. Remote cardiac monitoring system plays a crucial role in the monitoring cardiac and follow-up of pacemakers, and greatly reduces the occurrence of cardiac sudden death among social population.
