Clinical research program acceptance conference was successfully convened
On December 21, Suzhou Science& Technology Bureau conducted the acceptance conference of clinical program “research on comprehensive prevention and control of coronary heart disease in Suzhou based on remote real-time monitoring technology”. The conference was hosted by committee of experts including professor Wang Zengwu employed in National Center for Cardiovascular Disease, China and Fuwai Hospital, CAMS&PUMC, professor Wu Ming employed in Suzhou Center for Disease Prevention and Control, professor Ding Zhiliang employed in Suzhou Municipal Hospital, and section chief Ji Yongchang in Suzhou Health and Family Planning Commission.
Dr. Wang in Suzhou Center for Disease Prevention and Control first proposed the program plan in July, 2012. By joint declaring with Ycoaly and Runda community health service center, the program had been approved by Suzhou Science& Technology Bureau. After the three years of hard effort, Dr. Wang created the first community heart remote real-time monitoring pre-warning system and management system of comprehensive prevention of community coronary disease integrating remote monitoring management of blood pressure and blood sugar, realizing capabilities of resident cardiovascular health monitoring intelligence and data integration. In the two model communities, a total of 1184 patients got heart remote monitoring service. The monitoring results showed 25 cases of serious bradycardia, 121 cases of atrial premature beat, 5 cases of paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia, 29 cases of arrest, 16 cases of atrial fibrillation, 79 cases of frequent ventricular premature beat, 61 cases of paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia and 174 cases of ST-T changes. Among these cases, 2 cases of acute coronary syndrome and 2 cases of sick sinus syndrome need immediate rescue.
By green channel conducted by Suzhou Municipal Hospital and The First People, affiliated by Suzhou University, all patients who need immediate rescue got excellent treatment during 60 minutes from break out. A total of 16 cases of atrial fibrillation got recovered by drug therapy or radiofrequency ablation operation. All patients with coronary disease got significant improvement in abnormal ECG information after comprehensive management.
After the three years of hard effort, Dr. Wang Bo and his colleagues made heart remote monitoring that was originally carried out in the hospital occur in families of thousands of households. Patients were connected with community service center via mobile internet by iHolter. The community service center connected patients with three-level hospital. Thus, a service circle of rapid response of acute events was created. Through the service circle we can early detect abnormal events, gave timely intervention and preventing disease from being worse, greatly shortening treatment time of community high-risk patients with coronary disease, reducing disability and mortality, reducing medical costs and accumulating invaluable experience for prevention and control of community heart events in China.
2016 was coming, under strong support of Suzhou Health and Family Planning Commission, Yocaly was endeavoring to promote the program and establish a prevention and control system of community cardiovascular events covering the whole Suzhou city.
